Scott Lawrence
I’m Scott, the owner of Law-Dog Construction. My journey started as an electrical apprentice. I was drawn to the hands-on work from the beginning — the problem-solving, the pace, and the feeling when I stood back at the end of the day and could see real progress being made. But as the years went on, what stuck with me even more was what the work actually means: a home isn’t just a building — it’s where our lives happen. It’s where families grow, routines are built, holidays are hosted and memories are made.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked for a range of contractors and construction companies, which gave me the opportunity to learn different systems, styles, and standards. I learned what works, what doesn’t, and what homeowners and crews deserve more of. I saw great craftsmanship, and I also saw the common frustrations that too often come with remodeling: unclear timelines, confusing communication, and the kind of stress that can take the excitement out of what should really be a truly positive experience.
That’s a big reason I started Law-Dog. I wanted to build a company that raises the bar — not only in the quality of the finished product, but also in the experience of getting there. For clients, that means a clear plan, consistent communication, and a process built on respect, care, and transparency. For the team, it means building a job site culture we’re proud of — where people work hard, do things the right way, and still enjoy showing up. I want clients to feel comfortable asking questions and actually enjoy the process, and I want you to see our crews on site smiling, laughing, and taking real pride in what they’re building.
Hard work and personal responsibility were instilled in me early, and I carry that into every project. I don’t take lightly the trust it takes to invite a contractor into your home.
